This theory is all about how Franky might be destined to eat Bartholomew Kuma’s Devil Fruit. There have been many clues on the show to which it leads people thinking all this theory. So, with any further delay let’s dive into it.
To start understanding all this we need to go back when Kuma sent all the Strawhats flying into the air. Kuma knew exactly where each and every individual Strawhat will end up and he chose to send Franky on the island of Karakuri. Bartholomew Kuma had connections with the Revolutionary Army and had strong ties with Monkey D. Dragon. Kuma must have known Franky is a cyborg and will need help to get upgraded so he threw him on Vegapunk’s homeland to figure out a way to increase his power.
Franky, whilst in Karakuri town found Vegapunk’s old lab filled with blueprints and experiments. He got chased by wild cyborg animals and he also found a blueprint showing a missile plus a devil fruit equal to a gorilla with missiles embedded to his back. After seeing this, he decided to live in the lab and learn more about what he just saw. He was impressed by Vegapunk’s experiments quoted “This is great! Everything from battleships to human cells… How did he come up with these kinds of things.”
Franky must have learned a lot from Vegapunk as he came up after the 2-year skip with loads of improved techniques and new one too. He modified his body so much that his body is more robot than human. He must have learnt how to use Wapometal instead of the devil fruits. Like for instance, the pacifistas use Kizaru’s laser from their hands whilst Franky has Radical Beam.
Even though he has changed a lot in those 2 years, he still is well underestimated. His upgrades seem redundant looking at what his other crew mates have gone through. So how can he improve and be reliable to handle any situation at hand? Well, Franky, Kuma and Vegapunk are tied by a bond of Robotics. Vegapunk is trying to build the best cyborg, whilst Kuma and Franky wanted to be the best cyborg. Franky is the only one who have met Kuma after the time skip and the only one who have visited the old lab of Vegapunk. I think they might cross paths again in the future.
Let us head in to the evidence we gathered so far. There was a fan who asked Oda on SBS about a theory of his that he noticed on the show and it goes like this: If you are using the Japanese vocabulary each of the Strawhats Devil Fruit can be represented by 2 numbers from 1-10 except 2,9.
The one that is missing is 2,9. Well who’s devil fruit is represented by 2,9? The answer is Nikyu Nikyu no Mi devil fruit which belongs to Kuma. Bartholomew will certainly not join the Straw hats but Franky might be the one to inherit the Paw Paw df. Ohh and btw Oda did not deny the theory nor said it was correct his exact words were “Man, I’m surprised! To what I’m surprised? NO COMMENT! NEXT!”
Was this a hint showing that Kuma’s devil fruit will be passed on to Franky?
If Franky was destined for the Nikyu Nikyu no Mi df, in the Corrida Colosseum when Luffy wanted Franky to have his brother’s df, he would refuse to which he did. After the timeskip Franky was the one who told the crew how Kuma defended their ship at their absence but he might not have told them everything.
What bugs me is why did Kuma defended their ship and after Franky arrived he just said the mission is complete and just left. It seems something is still missing from what happened.
There is also one last thing that may hold this theory together which is: Before I told you about the numbers, now if you attach the numbers to one pirate together and add them you will get this: Luffy (5,6) = 56, Chopper (1,10) = 110, Robin (8,7) = 87, Brook (4,3) = 43. If you add them all together you get 296.
Does 296 remind you of something?
If we go even further to add the 296 with the remaining devil fruit it would be Franky (2,9) = 29. 296 + 29 = 325. 325 is an important number as 325 may be said as san-ni-go which means Thousand Sunny in English. This would seem to complete the whole crew they will need the Nikyu Nikyu no Mi devil fruit and Franky would be the one owning it.
That’s it from me. Hope you enjoyed it and do not hesitate to comment below

Monkey D. Dragon’s Real Identity
There are many theories about Monkey D. Dragon and how he was an admiral prior the Revolutionary Army and today we will be discussing one of those theories.
Most anime and manga have a relation to mythology and One Piece follows one too. In One Piece we have 4 seas, North, South, East and West blue seas. In pre-Han Dynasty China, the original 4 seas were a metaphor to the borders of China. 2 of them were associated with real locations, the East China Sea and the South China Sea. During the Han Dynasty, the Chinese also won the North (Lake Baikal) and West Seas (Qinghai Lake).
These seas have 4 colours that are associated with them yellow, red, white and blue. In Japanese mythology, they have the same but instead of white, they have black.
Apart from those colours, overtime those colours became 4 animals yellow monkey, red dog, white dragon and blue bird.
These represent the 4 seas, now we have two sides that represents this mythology, the 4 Yonkos representing the seas being: North – Whitebeard, South – Big Mom, West – Red Hair Shanks and East – Kaidou.
The colours and animals represent 4 admirals Yellow Monkey – Kizaru, Blue Bird – Aokiji, Red Dog – Akainu and White Dragon – Monkey D. Dragon. 4 seasons are represented by them too Spring, Winter, Summer and Autumn respectively.
Now it comes to the theory, Monkey D. Dragon’s father is Garp, a vice admiral had an ambition to recruit Luffy and Ace into becoming marines. As Dragon is his son, Garp pushed Dragon into becoming a marine. Dragon might have been an admiral because of his title the most wanted man. Garp multiple times said he doesn’t want to become an admiral because of this reason, they have loads of responsibilities, less freedom as they get direct orders from the Celestial Dragons and he couldn’t follow his own conscious as he have to give an example to the lower ranks much more than if is just a vice admiral. If Dragon was an admiral, this would be a position he don’t want too as he seen the damage and toll it left on his son.
Why is Dragon the most dangerous man, the most wanted man and the World Government biggest enemy?
This theory suggests that the only way to have this hatred pointed towards Dragon only if he had been a crucial part of the organisation, knowing the juiciest of secrets about them and after all betraying them.
In this theory, Dragon was an admiral he was in charge to find where Uranus is, he found it out and had no intention to reveal it to them. He knew what the Nobles are like as he might receive direct orders from them. He knew how they acted towards humanity and his hatred towards Nobles have been shown on the series. If Dragon went for Uranus and left the Marines, this would certainly be a huge betrayal leading towards his title.
Uranus comes along this theory as Uranus is derived from the Greek God Ouranos which means sky or heaven but it’s etymology meaning is ouréō “to urinate”, varṣá “rain” and ṷarša “fog, mist”.
