Pokemon GO: App Store Ad Mentions First Legendary Pokemon

It looks like some of the marketing team members of Marketing Team are going to get fired this time. There has been leaked information about Pokemon Go’s First Legendary Pokemon.

Unlike previous leaks this one comes straight from the horse’s mouth, I mean Niantic itself. In the Indian iOS app store, there are promotional banners placed in the scrollable menu, towards the center right portion (refer to image down below).

At first, I was skeptical of this work, thinking this was just a work of Photoshop, but then again just in case, I texted one of our team members who can confirm it is indeed true.

Also, we received a confirmation that the Singapore iOS App Store has the same Ad banner. Since as per regulations all iOS devices get their app updated on Thursdays, that would mean we will be getting an app update in the coming two days with legendary Pokemon included. So that’s a great news, and tbh, I’m looking forward to this update after my expectations were let down by the anniversary event. Maybe they are doing this as a two part event my launching the first legendary Pokemon along with the anniversary.

To further strengthen our theory, remember that extra long new year’s event that we had with those extra starter Pokemon spawns (yeah, good times ha?) We had that one for an extended duration of like 3 or 3.5 weeks (I don’t remember exactly) and we all loved that event.

So our theory is that we will be getting the first Legendary Pokemon, as an extension to the Pokemon GO Anniversary. Ok now, we also speculate that this alleged “First Legendary Pokemon” is going to be Mew and not the legendary birds, or the Mewtwo. As in the original Pokelore, the first ever Legendary Pokemon discovered was Mew. Later Mew was declared as a Mythical Pokemon along with Celebi, with an explanation that these Pokemon are even rarer than legendary Pokemon and were only mentioned in Pokemon Myths, which many people no longer believe.
