Why Goku Won’t Be The Last Man Standing In Tournament Of Power

Why I don’t think Goku is going to win the Tournament of Power. It’s really simple really and yes I know Goku has come along way especially now with the reveal of his new form “Limit Breaker. But even with that new transformation I have highly doubts Goku is going to survive in the tournament. Sure he will have a tremendous and amazing fight with Jiren.

Hit and others but I just know he will just not be the last man standing. Now my first reason is Goku has not won any tournaments since the original dragon ball series, not even in dbz or the non canon gt.

So whats my proof well if you think about all the tournaments Goku has been in he either forfeits or something happens and he leaves or for other reasons . One example is against Cell in the Cell Games, yes I know Goku forfeited to let Gohan get a shot and to awaken his true power but even so it was still a tournament which he didn’t win even and if he stayed in there he would’ve lost against Cell either way since Cell was stronger than Goku at the time.

Another example is in the Buu Saga when Goku and his friends were competing in the World Martial Arts Tournament. In this one Goku was given the chance to comeback to life for a whole day just to compete in the World Martial Arts Tournament, but in the middle of the Tournament another threat presents itself when Gohan gets his energy stolen by Spopovich and Yamu.

Supreme Kai later on after this happens, informs Goku and the others about Majin Buu and Babidi so they decided to leave the tournament in order to stop this thus not winning this tournament either.

Another one is in the non canon Dragon Ball Gt, when “Kid” Goku is competing in the junior division of the Martial Arts Tournament and I know that for a lot of you Gt was poorly written. In this tournament Goku actually makes it to the finals, all he had to do was throw another kid out, but eventually Goku loses to the kids tickling powers .

Also in the middle of this Vegeta appears and distracts Goku thus giving the kid the chance to push Goku out thus making him lose. Another one is in the current series Dragon Ball Super in the Universe 6 vs Universe 7 arc when Goku fights the Legendary Assassain Hit.

After using the Super Saiyan Blue Kaio Ken x 10 against Hit, Goku realizes that Hit cannot fight to his fullest without being able to kill, and we all know how Goku is when it comes to fighting. So what does the Saiyan do, he decides to forfeight and eliminates himself in the process.

So what does this all have to do with the Tournament of Power? Simple I have no doubt Goku is not going to win the tournament. Yes he will put up a great fight against Jiren/Hit but like in the past I know Goku will probably give Jiren/Hit the win and forfeit and eliminates himself.

Another result could be, Goku lowers his guard and someone else will probably eliminate him, probably Frieza or Kale, etc. In case people are thinking I’m hating on Goku, I’m not I love Goku he’s one of my favorite characters, but if you think about it, its pretty obvious and not hard to think about giving to Goku’s nature.

Are These Characters Going To Fuse In Tournament of Power?

Since the Tournament of Power was announced people have been wondering if Fusion is allowed during the Tournament. If Goku’s new Transformation isn’t enough for Jiren what else can Goku and the other’s do to ensure our Universe wins?

In this Article I’m going to break down the mystery of Fusion in the Tournament of Power, and what potential role it could play in the Tournament.

Ever since Vegeta said to Goten and Trunks that fusion is not allowed, and considering the Potara Earings are considered an item people automatically thought Fusion was not allowed. That’s not necessarily true. Just because Vegeta says so, doesn’t mean its entirely accurate.

Yes, the Potara Fusion would be illegal in the Tournament of Power but not the Metamorese Fusion Dance, and here’s why! It has be said over and over as long as its a Technique that a participant is able to do it will be acceptable. So this would mean the Metamorese Fusion Dance seeing how it is a Technique with no help from an item.

Considering that, and if Fusion due to the Metamorese Fusion Dance is allowed considering its a Technique then who would Goku fuse with? The obvious choice and first thought would be Vegeta given they have history fusing with one another with the Potara Earings.

Yes, I know, Gogeta is NOT canon, and some will even go as far as to say Vegeta doesn’t know the dance. I think that’s false! I personally think Vegeta does know the Metamorese Fusion Dance, not because he’s done it before but simply by watching and seeing Goten and Trunks do it. Think about it, that’s how Goten and Trunks learned it was by watching Goku and Piccolo do it.
