Famously known Japanese Website (Famitsu) interviewed the Producer (Tomoko Hiroki) for Dragon Ball Fighter Z as well as the Director (Junya Motomura). Hiroki and Motomura are employees at Arc System Works (the company developing Dragon Ball Fighter Z). In this interview, Hiroki and Motomura revealed that Dragon Ball Fighter Z was inspired from the game, Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butoden for the Nintendo 3DS. For those that did not know, Arc System Works also developed Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butoden for the Nintendo 3DS and Bandai Namco Entertainment helped them develop a version of the game for consoles.
Revealed at EVO and E3, Dragon Ball Fighter Z will promise fans more than they expected at the short builds that were present at both gaming conferences. One example of this is that Hiroki confirmed that in the final build of the game when players switch in-between characters, each character will speak a specific line for that switch in terms of who you’re fighting against! Which to me, sounds pretty cool and unique. So far at the current builds of the game, only two stages have been shown:
Famitsu confirmed in their interview with Hiroki that Dragon Ball Fighter Z will have over 10 stages confirmed for the official release of the game. Alongside the stages, Dragon Ball Fighter Z will have over 16 characters as 16 of them have already been confirmed on the website as well as from all the trailer up until now. Even though some characters will have multiple versions of themselves, the roster for Fighter Z seems impressive and will carry its own storyline of Android 21! Stay tuned for more news regarding this game as it is definitely going to be one of the top anime games in 2017.
